Donald Trump is coming to California and Nevada
Former President Donald Trump is set to visit Northern California and Nevada this week, as part of his ongoing 2024 campaign. On Friday, he will host a rally at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno, Nevada. The event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m., with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. for attendees.
Trump’s visit to Nevada, a key battleground state, follows Vice President Kamala Harris' recent appearance in Las Vegas. Harris participated in a Univision Town Hall on Thursday morning, while her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, made stops in Sacramento and Reno earlier this week. Walz's rally in Reno focused on women’s rights and gun control legislation.
Nevada is expected to play a pivotal role in the upcoming November election, despite having just six Electoral College votes. The state's political landscape has become more competitive in recent years, with an increasing number of voters identifying as non-partisan. According to several polls, including one conducted by the New York Times, Harris holds a narrow 1% lead in Nevada, highlighting how critical the state’s voters will be in determining the election outcome.
In addition to his Reno rally, Trump will also be heading to Southern California on Saturday for another campaign rally in Coachella, continuing his efforts to energize voters in these key regions.
